The crash which killed eleven people total killed two Navy SEALs and 5 Soldiers when the Black Hawk Helicopter was shot down over Afghanistan. Also on board were 3 Afghan soldiers, and 1 language interpreter.
The cause of the crash which occurred Tuesday is unknown at the moment but the Pentagon does not suspect that it was from hostile fire.
The death’s bring the total service members killed in Afghanistan to 25, making it the deadliest month in a year, and the month is only half way through.
The total U.S. soldiers killed in the Afghanistan war efforts has now reached 1,960 since the war started in 2001.
