Elytte Barbour and Miranda Barbour have been charged with the murder of Troy LaFerrara after the husband and wife killed him for “fun.”
Elytte, 22, and Miranda, 18, have been formally charged with the murder of Troy LaFerrara. The married couple killed LaFerrara on Veteran’s Day reportedly for just the “thrill of it.”
The incident occurred after LaFerrara answered a Craigslist ad offering companionship from a woman. The 42-year-old man did not know that he was part of an elaborate plot for a young couple to murder him.
Speaking about the murderous couple’s state of mine, Stephen Mazzeo, who is the police chief of Sunbury, told reporters:
“They went out to dinner on Veteran’s Day to celebrate and to enjoy the thrill of killing.”
While LaFerrara is the only confirmed victim of the couple’s scheme, authorities speculate that there may be other victims.
Miranda Barbour was charged on Tuesday with the stabbing of LaFerrara. According to the Barbour’s, Miranda acted in self defense as she told police she stabbed him after he nearly choked and groped her.
However, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence against the couple as LaFerrara was stabbed 20 times and then dumped in a nearby alley. Moreover, new details from police state that Elytte Barbour was hiding in the back of the car in his wife’s honda at the time of the incident. He reportedly waited for his wife’s signal to wrap a cord around LaFerrara’s neck while she stabbed him.
