Just 8 days after getting married to her husband Cody Johnson, newlywed bride Jordan Graham allegedly pushed her husband off a cliff in Glacier National Park. The newlyweds were taking a hike in Montana at the national park when they got into an arguement. As a result of the argument, Graham is accused of pushing her husband off of a cliff and to his death back in July of this year.
Montana Newlywed Heads To Trial For Pushing Her Husband Off CliffJordan Graham originally told investigators a different story about how her husband fell off of the cliff, but later caved into interrogation about the incident. The FBI became involved in investigating Johnson’s death after suspicions arose about Graham’s innocence. It has been presumed that the newlywed was having second thoughts about getting married, and that she was motivated by those feelings to kill her husband rather than work things out in a civilized manner.
The young couple appeared to be happy on the surface. Cody Lee Johnson, 25, and 22 year-old Jordan Graham had a lot of life ahead of them prior to this incident. Now rather than raising a family together as Johnson had hoped, he lies dead and awaiting justice, while Graham faces a potential life behind bars. The trial begins on Monday, as the public and the jury will hear more details about Johnson’s death. Prosecutors will hope to determine if the alleged murder was premeditated prior to the couple taking the hike to the cliff, or if it was just a fit of rage that led Graham to push Johnson over the edge.
Sometimes love makes people do crazy things as spousal murders seem far too common, but 8 days hardly gives you time to work up any real issues that may lead people to go to such extremes.
