The Center for Advanced Medicine is not actually part of the hospital, but a leased building in the corner of the medical centers campus. University of Nevada police were first to alert the area of a gunman on the loose. The report went out via Twitter, warning students and staff to stay where they were and to find cover. Jan Tors a spokesperson for the university, released a statement reporting that no faculty or students were harmed in the shooting.
