Former Afghanistan ambassador Said T. Jawad accuses U.S. soldiers of killing the last lion in the Kunar Province.
According to the official Twitter page of Said T. Jawad, the former ambassador believed that U.S. soldiers killed one of the last lions in Kunar and then glorified the killing with a photo. On his Twitter, Jawad wrote:
A shameful picture of US solders killing the last lion in Kunar province. http://t.co/iVwIKiRypl”

However, just a few moments after that tweet was published, it was revealed that the photo of the soldiers standing over the dead lion was faked and has been circulating the internet for over three years.
After many of Jawad’s Twitter followers noticed the former ambassador’s error, they were quick to tell him that the photo was photoshopped and has been around for years:

I apologize for posting and stirring up too much emotions on both sides. It was an honest mistake. Should I have checked the fake picture.
