BlueHost and HostGator crash after an EIG outage has been fixed and both website hosts are back up and running according to the Endurance International Group.
Affecting thousands of websites, the BlueHost and HostGator crash left a number of users complaining on social media about how their sites were not loading properly. The crash occurred around 10 a.m. EST and lasted for several hours before a fix was implemented.
While initially unaware of the outages, BlueHost later sent out a message on their official Twitter page stating:
FYI we’re experiencing a temporary network issue with our data center that’s affecting some customers. If that’s you stay tuned for updates!

@hostgator Third outage in recent memory. Will you be offering partial refunds? Your 99.9% uptime promise is impossible at this point.

@hostgator This is the 3rd major network issue this year. Timing could not be worse. I have a bunch of screaming customers now. Thanks.

HostGator, BlueHost and EIG have not made any comments as to what caused the outage in the first place. However, they state that all sites on their servers are now operational.
