Tim Tebow Unlikely To Play In the NFL Next Year

It’s been nearly two years since Tim Tebow has taken a snap as a starting NFL quarterback, but it seems like no matter what happens, the hype just won’t die down. Speculation continues as to whether or not he will be playing football next year, but it’s beginning to look less likely.

It was recently announced that Tebow has been hired to be an analyst on SEC Network, a new college football network that will be debuting in August. Tebow will be an analyst on the show SEC Nation which will serve as a pre-game show on Saturday mornings.

This news, tied with the complete lack of interest from any NFL team at this point, all leads to the probability that Tim Tebow will more than likely not make his way back to the playing field any time soon.

“I feel like I’m the best that I’ve ever been as a quarterback right now, and I hope I get the opportunity to show that,” said Tebow at a press conference on Tuesday.

There were teams that had expressed desire in the former Heisman trophy winner after he was cut from the New England Patriots earlier this year, but it was not to play quarterback. Tebow has publicly stated multiple times that he fully intends to stay at the quarterback position and has no desire to switch.

If the opportunity should arise in the next few months for Tebow to take the field, there is a clause in his new contract that gives him an out if an NFL team decides to sign him.

Unfortunately for Tim Tebow fans, with some big name quarterbacks coming up in this years draft and some promising free agents, it looks like the former Denver Broncos star will still have to sit on the sidelines and hope for an opportunity.
