Jacqueline Bisset acceptance speech at the Golden Globes caused quite a stir as the actress won for Best Supporting Actress in a TV show and dropped the s-bomb on live television.
Overcome with emotion after her win for Best Supporting Actress, the “Dancing on the Edge,” actress gave a heartfelt acceptance speech. However, forgetting for a brief moment that she was on live television, Jacqueline Bisset used a curse word as she said:
“For those who have given me s–t, like my mother always said, ‘Go to hell and don’t come back!'”
While the rest of her speech was articulate, the focus of the Golden Globes soon found itself fixated on the use of profanity. No comments from the actress have been made about her use of language, however, it is not the firs time an award show has experienced a “bleep moment.”
The rest of Ms. Bisset’s speech was eloquent as the actress told her fellow actors:
“I think it was 47 years ago, the Hollywood Foreign Press gave me a nomination [for promising newcomer]. Thank you very much, HFP. I’m absolutely shaking. I cannot believe this. Forgive everybody. It’s the best beauty treatment. Forgiveness of yourself and for others. I love my friends I love my family and you’re so kind.”
