Cassandra Lynn Hensley was found dead at a friend’s house after a reported overdose according to authorities. The 34-year-old Playboy Playmate was discovered in a friend’s Los Angeles home on Wednesday.
According to investigators, drug overdose is the likely cause of the young entertainer’s death. Reports indicate that a friend called paramedics upon finding Hensley floating in her bathtub. After several attempts to revive her, emergency services announced that she was dead.
The Utah native was highlighted in Playboy back in February 2006. Cassandra Lynn Hensley started modeling in order to take classes to become an aesthetician according to her bio on the magazines website.
While it remains uncertain if the death was an intentional suicide or an accidental overdose, Hensley last told reporters that her experience after Playboy has been a good one:
“I have been a part of many great experiences. Travel shows, magazine covers, and of course giving advice to young impressionable girls who think they need to act a certain way for a chance to be a model.”
