Lentil beans taste great and are easier to cook than other beans, because they don’t need to be soaked. Lentils contain 9 grams of protein per 1/2 cup cooked. Lentils can be bought canned and just drain the liquid they’re packaged in or simply boiled for 30 minutes and then mix them with other ingredients for a meal.
