Former Student Calls Teacher About Being Abused and Posts Call on YouTube

Former student calls teacher who allegedly sexually abused her when she was in middle school and records the conversation for the world to see. The intense video recording of the woman confronting her abuser is causing a stir on YouTube and around the web.

The California teacher resigned from her job a few hours after the video was posted on YouTube. The former student, who is calling herself “Jamie”, now feels absolved of the horrible abuse, after feeling powerless for so long.

The abuse started when the, now 28-year-old woman was only 12 and in middle school. The woman said, “When I finally got up enough courage to report her, I found out that the statute of limitations was up and she will never have to pay for the things that she did to me.” So Jamie decided the best way to expose her former teacher would be to post a video on the internet. She sent the link of the video to her former teacher after she posted it on YouTube and the teacher resigned within a few hours.

Police have launched a investigation into the situation. Lt. Guy Toussaint of the Riverside Police Dept. said, the statue of limitations maybe a factor, but police are going to do a full investigation to see what crimes have occurred. The accused former teacher worked at Alhambra Unified School District before she gave her resignation. No other students from the school district have been identified as victims of abuse so far.

When Jamie was asked why she waited so long to come forward about the abuse she said, its because she’s a mother now and doesn’t want to see any other children being abused.

The reason why I wanted to do this was to expose her for what she really was and to protect other kids, because she shouldn’t be around anyone’s kids,” Jamie told reporters Monday. “It took a lot for me to come forward, but I kept thinking about my own kids, and how I wouldn’t want anything to happen to them.”

Jamie claims that her former teacher had brainwashed her and thats why she didn’t come forward while the abuse was taking place. The abuse was happening all the way up until Jamie was 18, her teacher would threaten Jamie to keep her from telling anyone. “She said that she would kill herself if I ever left. And I believed that,” Jamie said. Since coming forward and exposing her teacher, Jamie now feels like she has more control in her life.
