With the new year comes the new iPhone 6. As Apple’s latest product is reported to come out as soon as June 2014, rumors are circulating about the new features that may come with the device.
While the iPhone 5 did not deviate much from the iPhone 4, the iPhone 6 is expected to be a total revamp of both the hardware and software. Due in large part to the success of larger smartphones like the Galaxy s4, Apple will more than likely make a larger and slimmer iPhone 6 with a large touchscreen.
Another feature that may be incorporated into the the new iPhone is gesture controls. While the iPhone pushed touch screen based phones into the mobile market, Apple is looking into a Retina+ IGZO display that will enable gesture control as well as touch capabilities. The phone is also predicted to support near field communication (NFC) that is popular on many mobile devices. It is also believed that the iPhone 6 will have some sort of motion technology as Samsung has propelled it with their own devices successfully.
As far as processing power is concerned, iPhone lovers should not be too disappointed with a rumored quad-core A8. Better efficiency and more power mean more battery life that will be able to compete with Android devices. However, after the Apple and Samsung lawsuit that put both companies against one another, Apple is looking to sever ties with the company for later Apple products.
More details will be released as the release date nears. For now, Apple is keeping a tight lid on their newest upcoming product.
