The ever innovative Facebook does it again as the company has released Facebook Paper that will revolutionize social media on handheld devices.
The new Facebook Paper application for handhelds will be a complete change from the current Facebook app. While the current app allows people to scroll through there unorganized news feed, Facebook Paper will now act as a smart compiler and only feature sections that are of interest to the user.
Acting as an e-newspaper, the app allows the user to slide through cards rather than scrolling down through bland posts. In a news posting about the app, Facebook wrote:
“You can customize Paper with a choice of more than a dozen other sections about various themes and topics—from photography and sports to food, science and design. Each section includes a rich mix of content from emerging voices and well-known publications.”
Explaining the new concept of the Facebook Paper app even further, product design leader Michael Matas told Tech News:
“As you start changing the way you’re displaying this content, we hope that it will change the way people think about posting content. It’s no fun to make a bunch of great stuff if no one ever sees it.”
Facebook announced that their new application will be available for both IOS and Android devices on February 3, 2014.
