Sherman told reporters how he and the rest of the defensive line were able to predict the plays from the Broncos offense. According to Sherman, the team cracked Peyton Manning’s hand signal code and were able to make strong defensive plays off of it.

Richard Sherman told Robert Klemko from MMQB:

“All we did was play situational football. We knew what route concepts they liked on different downs, so we jumped all the routes. Then we figured out the hand signals for a few of the route audibles in the first half…Now, if Peyton had thrown in some double moves, if he had gone out of character, we could’ve been exposed”

The Seahawks cornerback, who made national headlines for his comments about San Francisco 49er receiver Michael Crabtree after the NFC Championship, also told reporters:

“The NFC Championship was the Super Bowl. The 49ers were the second-best team in the NFL.”

Meanwhile, conspiracy theorists and Denver fans are crying foul play as the  Super Bowl rigged rumors continue to plague the NFL. A satire article caught fire about an ongoing investigation by the NFL for a rigged Super Bowl. However, the NFL has come out and stated that the game was not rigged.
