Why Flappy Bird Developer Dong Nguyen Is Taking Down The Most Popular Mobile Game

Flappy Bird Developer Dong Nguyen is taking down the number one game in the Google Play store after receiving overwhelming positive reviews.  Nguyen claims that it has been too big of an ordeal to keep the game going.

While users who have downloaded the game will get to continue to play the simple yet addicting Flappy Bird,  Nguyen tweeted on his personal Twitter account:

“I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’  users,  22 hours from now,  I will take ‘Flappy Bird’  down.  I cannot take this anymore. It is not anything related to legal issues.  I just cannot keep it anymore. “

The surprising move shocked many Flappy Bird lovers who were hoping the game would continue to grow and incorporate new features.  When asked why Nguyen decided to take down Flappy Bird after its huge success,  the creator said nothing.  However,  earlier this week Nguyen told reporters that the over rating of his game in the press is something he did not desire:

“It is something I never want.  Please give me peace.”

For now,  the game is still available in both Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store.
