Lovely model, Holly Keating, 23, survives a devastating bout with meningitis. The model says her promising modeling career was nearly over and done with when she was struck down with potentially deadly disease.
Holly Keating, 23, had enjoyed success as a lads’ magazine model when she fell seriously ill with meningitis, having been confined to her bed for months
The motivated and inspired model says her career is now back on track.
Miss Keating said: “When I got sick I really was terrified. When you hear the word meningitis you just panic, and you immediately think the worst,” later going on to say, “It felt like my brain was trying to push through my skull.”
“I felt so weak and was being sick all the time, and to top it all off it felt like my career was being taken away from me.
“In the modelling industry if you’re out of the game – even for a short time – people forget about you.

Meningitis is a disease caused by the inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord known as the meninges.
The infection occurs most often in children, teens, and young adults. Also at risk are older adults and people who have long-term health problems, such as a weakened immune system.
