What did the 19-year-old Craigslist Killer say?
She’s a Satanist and serial killer
Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania resident Miranda Barbour, recently charged with the November murder of Troy La Ferrara whom she and her newly-wed husband Elytte met on Craigslist, just admitted to the murder in a jailhouse interview with the Daily Item. According to court documentation, Barbour “stabbed LaFerrara 20 times” while her spouse “had a chord wrapped around” LaFerrara’s neck.
Barbour also confessed to the press that she has killed over 20 others. She stated that her confession to actually being a serial killer came from her desire “to stop living a lie” although she is remorseless because she claims she only murdered “bad people.”
Barbour elaborated: “I feel it is time to get all of this out. I don’t care if people believe me. I just want to get it out.”
She also revealed that she was a victim of sexual molestation by a relative at the age of 4, became pregnant twice, “had at least one abortion” and became a Satanist in Alaska at age 13. She added that she became involved in murders soon thereafter.
Barbour claims she has murdered no less than 22 people from Alaska to North Carolina while a member of a satanic cult. Sunbury’s Daily Item reported that the authorities are now currently investigating Barbour’s claims. Steve Mazzeo, Sunbury’s Chief of Police, assured the press they are “taking her claims seriously”.
He said: “We are reviewing the recording of the Daily Item interview and I will not confirm or deny anything at this point. I will however say that through investigations by lead officer Travis Bremigen he has been in contact with several other states and is working with law enforcement from various cities and towns.”
Mazzeo concluded: “From information we gathered and from information gathered from her interview we are seriously concerned and have been in contact with the proper authorities” including the FBI and law enforcement officials in several other states.
Legal counsel for the couple did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against both Barbour and her 22-year-old husband.
