Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer has arrived, but for a limited time only. As promised, fans got their very first look at the highly anticipated Marvel Studios film Guardians of the Galaxy on tonight’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Chris Pratt, who plays the lead character Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the film, was there to introduce the trailer. The trailer didn’t disappoint, giving fans their first real look at the film, which was too many a big mystery up to this point. The trailer delivered on both giving a strong sense of the tone for the film, as well as showing off some of the major actions scenes in the movie, which included a talking raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper that shoots guns.
Disney had announced that the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer was to debut on the show a couple of days ago, setting the internet ablaze with speculation. The anticipation was furthered when the USA Today released an article Monday, featuring several new images from the film as well as some plot details. This will be the tenth film from Marvel Studios following the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in April.
However, fans who want to take a look at the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer need to do so quickly, as it will only be available on the Jimmy Kimmel YouTube channel for the next 24 hours according to The Wrap. The trailer will surely be released for full viewing in the near future, but for now it is unclear when that will be.
Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn and opens Aug. 1 and stars Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro, Djimon Hounsou, Michael Rooker, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Dave Bautista
