(Fifty times) “faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive . . . Look!  Up in the sky!  It’s . . .” the fastest spacecraft in the world.   It’s The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Juno Mission spacecraft.  This is the spacecraft that executed a slingshot maneuver around the earth on its way to the planet Jupiter.  It travelled at a speed of 25 miles per second along the way.  The slingshot move increased its speed to approximately 87,000 mph (or 140,013kph).  Experts also note that the NASA spacecraft is also qualified to be called the fastest man-made object as well.
