Fastest standard tank
The world’s fastest standard tank is reported to be a standard S 2000 Scorpion Peacekeeper tank. The tank was constructed by Repaircraft PLC in the UK. The tank was clocked in at a top speed of 51.10 mph (or 82.23 kph) at a test track in Chertsey in the UK in 2002.
The tank made the run complete with full hull armor, ballistic skirts and its K10000 replaceable rubber pad track. The vehicle features an RS 2133 high-speed diesel engine. The speed was documented by the internationally qualified timekeeping organization the Malvern Motor Sports Timing Services.
