Jonathan Yarnell’s story starts on Saturday, October 12, 2013 when Cyndy Carstens received a frantic call from her daughter-in-law telling her that her son Jonathan Yarnell, was having emergency spinal surgery. A vertebra in his back had collapsed.
Jonathan Yarnell, is the thirty-three year old, lives in Temecula, California with his wife Rachael and 10-month old son Elliot.
He was in immense and overwhelming pain until he became paralyzed from the waist down. Surgery was an option but the surgeon gave Jonathan Yarnell only a 10% chance to ever walk again.
(only limitations: no bending, twisting, stooping, lifting, holding or carrying his baby boy)
Before all of this Jonathan Yarnell grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended North Canyon High School , he was the quarterback and captain of the football team. He was also a member of the North Canyon Cross-Country Running Team. Then Jonathan Yarnell earned Academic & Running Scholarships attending Phoenix College.

Jonathan is 33 years old, a loving husband, and amazing father to an 8 month old baby. He was recently diagnosed with Bone Marrow Cancer called, Multiple Myeloma. This cancer caused a collapsed vertebrae in his spine which led to emergency surgery and loss of feeling in his legs. Through his determination, spirit, and amazing attitude, he was able to walk again. Now he is fighting for his life against this terrible disease. Jonathan is currently not working so he can heal and focus on fighting and recovering. Please help us raise money to pay for the cost of health insurance premiums, physical therapy, and stem cell transplant costs, so we can ensure Jonathan continues to fight and get the best possible care.
