The first full length Godzilla trailer surfaced this week, finally giving fans their first real look at the film, which stars Heisenberg himself, Bryan Cranston. Of course, it was only a matter of time before a Godzilla and Breaking bad mash up fan trailer.
The trailer was put together by AwesomenessX and was released on Wednesday. The aptly titled Godzilla vs. Heisenberg trailer borrowed heavily from both Breaking bad and the new Godzilla trailer, but in an interesting twist it also incorporated Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim quite extensively.
The fantasized plot line in Godzilla vs. Heisenberg centers around the idea that Walter white, with the help of his partner Jessie Pinkman, work together to create a giant robot that can be used to fight Godzilla.
AwesomenessX has also been responsible for such mash ups as taking the new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer and setting it to the theme of Parks and Recreation, of course using Chris Pratt as the link between the two.
The Godzilla trailer was released Tuesday and has already racked up more than 12 million views on YouTube, partially thanks to a teaser released by Legendary prior to the release that featured Cranston’s emotionally charged speech. Plus, fans are still talking about Breaking Bad months after the finale aired, which has been hailed by many as one of the best finale’s of all time. Plus, many will be seeing the finale for the first time since the last eight episodes just hit Netflix instant watch recently.
AwesomenessX was quick to build off of the popularity of both Godzilla and Breaking Bad, having the video up only a day after the Godzilla footage was released.
