Paula Patton looked absolutely radiant on the red carpet at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday, without a trace of grief present. It was the first time the 38-year-old beauty hit the red carpet at an event since last attending the Grammys in January with estranged husband Robin Thicke and since the announcement of the couple’s separation.
Paula Patton looked absolutely stunning in a canary yellow Lorena Sarbu lace dress and nude Christian Louboutin heels.
While she was noticeably solo at the awards ceremony in Santa Monica, Calif., Thicke continued on his tour after canceling three shows reportedly due to their marital problems.
“For y’all that don’t know me and my wife separated, but I’m trying to get my girl back,” he told fans at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., on Thursday, reports TMZ. “She’s a good woman.”
The couple first announced their somewhat shocking split on Feb. 24 after eight years of marriage, a 3-year-old son, Julian, and 20 years of being together.
“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” they said in a joint statement to People on Monday.
Paula Patton reportedly had enough after multiple reports of his infidelity surfaced and his memorable, raunchy “Blurred Lines” performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards.
After supposedly pleading with her, the actress stood by her husband’s side all throughout awards season, concluding with the Grammys.
Shortly after that, Paula Patton called it quits on their longtime relationship, which began with Thicke when they were just 14 years old in high school.
The actress stepped out with one key piece of jewelry noticeably missing, her wedding ring, while Thicke continues to wear his. The R&B star dedicated his latest hit “Lost Without U” to Patton, which he confirmed to fans was written for her.
