Originally, Teresa Giudice had plead not guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and three counts of bankruptcy fraud.  Both Teresa and her husband Joe Giudice were charged and plead guilty.  When they were originally charged in November, they were pleading not guilty.

Sentencing will not likely happen until July, but Theresa could spend up to 24 months in prison.  Joe could spend anywhere between 37 and 46 months.  The couple asked to be in separate trials in the hopes that Teresa would not have to serve jail time and could take care of their four daughters while Joe served a sentence.  Joe may actually face being deported because he is a citizen of Italy and not of the United States.

The couple is famous for appearing on the TV show “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”  The show started in 2009 and brought their lavish lifestyles into the limelight.  Theresa has made herself famous for the controversy that seems to always surround her and one of the other cast mates.
