The young girl went missing from her home on March 1, Myra and her sister were playing outside their house in Camden, Miss., before she was reported missing, according the FBI.

The FBI office in Jackson said, “Since her disappearance was reported, multiple state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies have participated in a massive, collaborative search effort.”

Despite the massive search efforts she remains missing, prompting FBI officials to offer up a reward for anyone that finds young Myra Lewis.

Significant resources have been dedicated to this investigation, including extensive ground and air searches, and utilization of specially trained search teams. We are confident that information will be uncovered which will lead to Myra’s return, and we continue to solicit the public’s assistance in locating this little girl,” said Daniel McMullen, the FBI special agent in charge.

Myra’s family described her as being 37 inches tall, weighing approximately 27 pounds. The FBI reported, she was last seen between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on March 1, wearing white or khaki-colored pants, a turquoise sweater with a bear on the front, and pink tennis shoes.

Ericka Lewis, the girls mother, was arrested Friday on a probation violation following a welfare fraud conviction, as well as a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm, The Associated Press reported. But neither offense was connected to Myra’s disappearance.

The FBI’s Reward for Justice Program is a counterterrorism program used to help bring dangerous criminals to justice. After the September 11 attacks, the program has primarily been used to gather information on and capture suspected terrorists. A reward of $25 million, the largest reward in history was offered for capturing Osama bin Laden.

Myra Lewis has been missing for more than a week now and the FBI hopes that this reward will lead to the girls return.
