Ryan Braun Endorsements: At one time the Milwaukee Brewers slugger was the toast of the town when it came to endorsements from the most popular products. After escaping one suspension due to a technicality, but then getting hit with a 65-game one last season due to his connection with the Biogenesis Scandal that is not the case anymore.
Braun has inked his first endorsement deal with 3N2–a baseball cleats manufacturer– his first since the scandal and his suspension cost him the ones he had.
“We believe in Ryan,”3N2 CEO Marty Graham told ESPN.com. “We’ve all made mistakes and we’re all human beings. Our country is about second chances.”
Since his rookie season in 2007 Braun has been one of the most productive hitters in baseball and he has the accolades to prove it including Rookie of the Year honors (’07), five time All-Star selection, five time Silver Slugger, and NL MVP for the 2012 season. With that kind of resume you would think that he would be endorsing Nike–and he was–but was dropped in August.
So now he has gone from representing one of the most recognizable sports brands in the world to one that has a .02 percent share of the baseball cleat market.[H/T ESPN]
