Google Apps is down as users have been complaining that the Google services like Google Hangouts and Google Drive are offline.
Among the Google Apps that are down are the highly used Google Drive and Google Chat. Both services have been down since 9 a.m. Monday morning. The Google Apps Dashboard stated that there was a service disruption for certain Google Apps.
The disruption was international. Google has not yet specified why their services are offline at this time. Google made no announcement of any updates and many users were simply unable to access their cloud-based communications and servers.
As of right now, the services effected are Google Talk, Google Hangouts, Google Drive and Google Sheets. Google issued the following statement in regards to the outage:
We’re investigating reports of an issue with Google+ Hangouts. We will provide more information shortly.

No public comments from the Google team directly have been made in regards to the issue. Some rumors have surfaced stating that the issue may have been as a result of a hack attempt. However, those rumors have not been confirmed at this time and Google has not released any information about the incident.
