A 15 inch rat chewed through concrete and into a Swedish family’s home. The abnormal sized rat measured 15 inches without his tail and gnawed his way in through a tunnel between concrete and a wooden panel.
The Bengtsson-Korsas family discovered the rodent hidden behind their dishwasher in their kitchen, where their cat, Enox refused to go. The monstrous rodent even caused the family’s kitchen pipes to leak after constant chewing through the water pipes.
“I was terrified,” said Signe Bengtsson-Korsas. It was so huge that I barely saw what it was and I jumped up on the kitchen table.”
Exterminators were called to the home after failed attempts to scare the rat, who only became bold enough to venture out in front of the family in their kitchen. In less than a day the rat was caught on the industry sized traps. The 15 inch rat was so big that it didn’t die immediately following the snap. Instead it dragged the trap elsewhere and later was found dead.
“It didn’t die when it went into the trap, but scurried away,” said Mr. Bengtsson-Korsas. “It went underneath a wooden plant, where it got stuck and choked itself to death.”
