Did you miss the blood moon that appeared early this morning? Not to worry! The blood moon will appear a total of four times over the next two years.
The blood moon is more formally known as a lunar eclipse. A lunar eclipse can only occur when there is a full moon. It can easily be seen when it is happening, anyone on the night side of the earth. A lunar eclipse occurs when earth’s shadow blocks the light of the sun which would usually reflects off of the moon.
