New York Knicks executive and former NBA player Larry Johnson is calling for an all black professional basketball league. His call for an all black basketball league comes on the heels of racially insensitive remarks made by Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
Sterlings comments were released Saturday when TMZ caught the audio of Sterling repramanding his girlfriend about being pictured with African Americans and posting it on Instagram. African Americans such as NBA great Ervin Magic Johnson. Magic was not the only Johnson who was moved to hit Twitter over the bizarre audio recording released to the public of an NBA franchise owner.
Larry Johnson tweeted: “Black people your Focusing on the wrong thing. We should be focusing on having our own, Own team own League! To For Self!!’’

Prior the Tweet Johnson said:
I heard the Clippers owner made a racial statement And black people are all upset, get over it this is Integration. — Larry Johnson (@TheRealLJ2) April 26, 2014
L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling told his GF he does NOT want her bringing black people to his games … including Magic Johnson … and it’s ALL on tape.
Do you feel as though the NBA should force Sterling to leave the league?
