Ben Affleck is a man with many talents, and according to the security team at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, counting cards is another talent to add to his list. Earlier this week the casino security asked Ben Affleck to stop playing Black Jack at their tables after he accumulated a lot of winnings. They mentioned that he was more than welcome to play other casino games, but that he was allegedly no longer welcome at their card tables. Ben Affleck has made a name for himself playing Black Jack, as he even won $800,000 in three hands at the Hard Rock Casino back in 2011 too.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were sitting at the Black Jack tables this week in Las Vegas, enjoying themselves. Security had their eyes on Affleck the whole time, as his reputation at the table precedes him. The casino, not being strangers to celebrities, was very welcoming and gracious to the couple when they broke the news to them that they were no longer allowed to play Black Jack at their casino. Odds are that if Ben Affleck tried to play at another Vegas casino, that they would be quick to tell him the same thing.
Affleck was accused (or suspected) of counting the cards at the Black Jack table, which is a difficult skill to master. The activity is not illegal, as it does not count as cheating in any way, but it does give the player a rather unfair advantage over the casino if the player is accurate. Affleck has proven on a few occasions that he is not only accurate at his card counting, but that he may have legendary skills. Counting cards has very little use outside of Black Jack, which is why it had been Affleck’s game of choice lately.
Some people might be skeptical of the casino’s decision to ban a successful player from their tables, but the casinos make no mistake about the fact that they are in the gambling business for one reason only, and that is to make money.
