Justin Timberlake may not have made it as a feature film actor, but it isn’t because the man doesn’t have presence or an issue with line delivery.
The former boy band member has been in a few movies, and done well in most of them. However, after some time away from music he had to come back and as could be expected he came back in style. Last year the guy that brought sexy back while crying a river released two albums– The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2. As could be expected fans loved them.
As a result of that love he was awarded Top Artist at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night. He wasn’t in attendance so he had to give his acceptance speeches via remote (not unusual). It is also not unusual for award winners to comment on current affairs. His choice–Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
As could be expected, he has been ripped and praised for his riff on social media. Some think he was taking a stand and speaking out against racism. Others think he was grand standing and just pandering to the audience. What they don’t realize is that he was probably trying to do neither.
He was just being funny.
