Hand Digging A Well in Mexico

Hand digging a well in Mexico with the temperatures approaching 100 degrees is no easy task.

The video shows how our ancestors used to build wells before technology and power tools. The well provided water at 13 feet deep and holds over 1500 gallons of fresh water. The well replenishes itself in a few hours.

At 2 meters a piece of a pot was uncovered. At 3 meters rocks with veins of what appears to be some metal was excavated.
