The life and times of former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young has taken yet another turn for the worse. He’s been arrested on felony charges again.
Details of the arrest have not been released yet, but Young is being held in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles after being charged with battery with serious bodily injury–a felony–and four misdemeanor counts of battery of school, park or hospital property. Bale has been set at $105,000.
TMZ is reporting that on July 8 the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received a call about a battery that had taken place on July 8. Young allegedly knocked a man out after punching him in the face. The victim–who knows Young–was taken to the hospital and released.
He was arrested the next day.
Young was supposed to appear at a pretrial hearing on July 10 in relation to four felonies and seven other criminal charges. He was arrested last May on 11 different criminal charges after going on a small crime spree. Supposedly he has been receiving treatment of some kind causing his case to be delayed several times, but it is unclear exactly what.
According to his father Titus has a mental disorder that requires treatment.[DetroitFreePress, TMZ]
