Before her recent stint on American Ninja Warrior former Towson University gymnast Kacy Catanzaro was not a well-known personality, but now she is.
If you have never watched the show it features some of the best athletes in the land doing what they do best–pushing their bodies to the limit. However, on the show just pushing to the limit is not enough. With the extremely demanding obstacle course that they set out to complete they will have to show that they are among the nation’s elite when it comes to strength, agility, dexterity, and toughness.
They will have to prove that they are the total package.
As a gymnast at Towson University she proved she was one of the best at what she did by being named the NCAA Southeast Regional Gymnast of the Year and the ECAC Gymnast of the Year as a member of the school’s 2009 and 2010 ECAC championship teams.
But the course on American Ninja Warrior is another beast all together; one that no woman had ever completed before the 5-foot, 100-pound Catanzaro (thanks to the commentators you will have no doubt how tall she is by time she is done).
On to Las Vegas for the national finals and Mt. Midoriyama!
