Former WWE Champ Daniel Bryan and his wife Brie did not expect to see a pair of people burglarizing their home when the pulled up to it Monday night.
The criminals did not expect to see the former heavyweight champion and one of the toughest women in the WWE pull up either.
That is exactly what happened when the couple pulled up to their home Monday night in Phoenix. Whether the two criminals realized who they were trying to rob at that point is a mystery, but they decided to run when they saw the car. Little did they know that one of their victims would give chase!
Bryan, in spite of his injured neck, gave chase when the duo ran and eventually caught up to one of the criminals–22-year old Cesar Sosa. After a short struggle Byran was able to put his signature hold on to Sosa–a rear naked choke hold–and subdue him.
Afterwards Bryan expressed some regret in his decision to give chase. While he did so out of anger that is easy to understand he acknowledged that it was a bad idea since he had no idea if the people he was chasing were armed (which he was not).
The other perpetrator is still at large, but the one that he caught should not see the light of day for sometime. Not only will he have attempted burglary charges to face, but there was an existing warrant out on him for kidnapping.[Independent]
