Lady, an elderly black lab recently made headlines for returning to her family that gave her up. The journey, which was almost Homeward Bound like, was a 30 mile trip.
Her original owner passed and she was adopted by a new family. The family quickly realized Lady wasn’t a good fit and put her up for adoption. After being adopted by yet another owner, Lady missed the family who gave her up so much that she made the 30 mile trip to return home. The return wasn’t warm though. Lady was rejected by her family once again and to make things worse her new owner grew tired of the dog as well.
Homeless and living in a shelter seemed to be the end of the road for Lady. But that’s when everything changed. Inspired by Lady’s story, a new adopter came calling. It just so happens that the new owner is Wrigley Gum heiress Helen Rosburg, who flew Lady back to her new Florida mansion with over 120 acres for Lady to rome and over 300 other rescue animals for Lady to spend her days with.
Now that’s a happy ending. Share this with a dog lover in your life if you agree!
