Former Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul won over the hearts of fans everywhere as Jesse Pinkman in the smash AMC show but Paul isn’t planning on just acting for the rest of his career. According to The Wrap, a studio representative has said that Paul has signed a new deal with Sony Pictures Television.
The new first look deal with Sony will grant the studio a first look at any of Paul’s projects at his newly formed production company, Lucid Road Productions. For those that don’t know, a first look deal allows Sony the option to get the opportunity to either pass or buy a project that Paul’s company is working on.
Paul is a highly in demand talent now that Breaking Bad is over, but when he returns to TV he will be taking on a much larger role. He will be producing and possibly directing shows as opposed to just starring in them, which is probably a welcome idea for fans.
The actor is already executive producing a couple of projects anyway. One of which will be the Netflix series BoJack Horseman and the other will be the upcoming film Hellion. Both of which he will be starring in as well.
It looks like the fan favorite actor will have no shortage of work coming down the pipe, which can be a curse that is often attached to being on a popular series. Just look at where the cast of Friends is at now, if you don’t believe me.
There is no word yet on if there are any projects that Paul has on the table with the new deal, but things will surely be coming up soon. Paul also made headlines this week by promising fans a Breaking Bad themed scavenger hunt prior to the Emmy’s and there was his Barely Legal Pawn promo with Bryan Cranston. In any case, it looks like Paul’s stock will be going up.
