Tennessee Titan Running Back Shonn Greene was arrested in Franklin, Tennessee after he fled from the scene of an accident. He currently faces multiple criminal charges including parking in a handicapped spot, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, and resisting to stop to police. There is no current suspicion that he was driving under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, but he certainly caused more problems for himself by not sticking around and doing the right thing at the accident scene.
Titan Shonn Greene Arrested On Multiple Charges After Fleeing Scene Of An Accident
Shonn Greene was allegedly parked in a handicapped parking spot, which he is not legally authorized to park in. When a law enforcement office pulled up in their patrol car to investigate the incident, Greene got in his car and sped off, narrowly missing the officer’s vehicle. The officer then followed in pursuit of Greene’s car, and later caught back up to him. Greene continued to flee from the parking enforcement officer until he was able to get away.
Police in Franklin were able to identify Shonn Greene as the driver of his own vehicle, and they contacted the officials at the Tennessee Titans and requested that they advise Greene to turn himself into police. Greene reportedly was contacted by his team, and agreed to turn himself in late Friday night. The entire incident is a source of embarrassment for the Titans, and for Greene. There is currently no word on whether his actions will have any impact on his ability to play in the NFL, or with the Titans.
Greene is currently signed to a $10 million contract with the Titans as of 2013, and was easily able to post the $2,000 bond that was required for him to avoid going to jail until the time of his trial sometime later.
