Sarah Palin got the opportunity to address her critics in an interview with Fox Business Network, where she had this to say when host Stuart Varney asked her whether the vitriol she gets from haters would drive her out of politics:
“No, bless their hearts. Those haters out there, they don’t understand that it invigorates me, it wants me to get out there and defend the innocent. It makes me want to work so hard for justice in this country. So, hey the more they’re pouring on the more I’m going to bug the crap out of them by being out there with a voice, with the message, hopefully running for office in the future, too.”
Palin has alluded in the past that she may still have another political bid in her, as she did last year when she “considered” running for the Senate in Alaska. But she elected not to run and eventually backed Joe Miller for the GOP Senate nomination.
One concern for Palin’s potential plans for running for office is her contract as a paid contributor to Fox News. In the past, the network has suspended the contributor contracts of Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum as they contemplated running for president in 2012.
Palin has also splashed headlines lately for a matter that strays far from politics when her family got into a fight last month at a party in Alaska.
Asked about CNN anchor Carol Costello, who apologized for joking about the fight, Palin said “other people have it a lot tougher than we do.”
She added that liberals “do want to destroy personally those they disagree with.”
“They are very, very intolerant of those who maybe hold opposing view to their liberal failed agenda view,” she said. “So, they want to crush us.”
