Bush 41 Remains Hospitalized In Houston After Shortness Of Breath
Just 2 short years ago, George HW Bush spent Christmas time in an intensive care unit recovering from another respiratory illness. Family members had feared at that time that he may not have recovered, though he was released after a 2 month stay. This time around his doctors have remarked that his condition remains stable, though without much improvement yet. He will likely spend Christmas this year in the hospital as well.
Though he may be the oldest living president, even at the age of 90 he doesn’t dare to slow down. President Bush recently went skydiving at the age of 90, and has recently made more than a couple public appearances in support of his son and US troops. He spends most of his time between his family’s two homes in Maine and in Texas.
George HW Bush was recently the subject of a popular book written by his son George W Bush. The two presidents served their terms 12 years apart, but both had left a lasting impression on US politics. Other sons of George HW Bush are pressured to run for President, after having successful careers as politicians. It is not yet clear if George W Bush will be the last Bush president, but if another is elected it would be the first time that 3 members of the same family had ever been elected president in the US.
