Rob Van Winkle Aka Vanilla Ice Arrested For Felony Home Burglary

Florida – The rapper best known as Vanilla Ice was arrested in Florida under suspicion of a felony home burglary. Rob Van Winkle was found to be in possession of some property that was reported stolen from a foreclosed home across the street from one of the houses he was renovating. After trying his hand at many different career re-launches since topping the charts in our childhood, he had most recently landed his own show on the DIY Network called “The Vanilla Ice Project.” In the show, Van Winkle remodels houses for a living and talks about his life.

At the age of 47, Vanilla Ice is still looking youthful and hip. He claims to have a different account of how the suspected property came into his possession than what the police are accusing, but he has been totally cooperative with law enforcement at this point. Among the possessions alleged to be stolen by Van Winkle are bicycles, furniture, pool equipment, and other items that turned up missing from the home across the street.

Perhaps he figured that nobody would notice any of the items missing from the foreclosed home, or that they would assume that it was vandalized and robbed by someone else. Unluckily for him, he didn’t take any of the items very far and only moved them across the street to the house he was working on. His exact story has yet to be published, but it would be interesting to hear how he could explain coming into possession (legally) of all of those items.
