Author E.L. James Wants To Write “Fifty Shades Darker” Film Script Herself

It’s not about money, it’s about control. Control over the screenplay that is. Author E.L James, the woman who wrote “Fifty Shades of Grey” and all of its sequels, stepped up to say that she wants to write the script for the planned upcoming sequel to the current movie. Who better to write an accurate screenplay than the author who penned the pages of the book herself. While her characters lived out there seductive lives in a controlling relationship, it seems that those behaviors are not far from her own guilty pleasures.

Universal Studios has not confirmed any details about the plans for the potential sequel to the film “Fifty Shades of Grey” yet, but we all know that it is coming. If “Hot Tub Time Machine” can get a sequel, then you know that this film is definitely worthy of one. There are rumors floating around that Kelly Marcel, the script writer for the current Fifty Shades film will not be getting called back to write the script for the sequel. It’s not necessarily that she did such a bad job on the script she wrote for the first film, but more so the reported will of the author who holds the intellectual property rights.

That’s right, if E.L. James does not approve the second film, it’s never going to happen. That kind of control is exactly what this lady wants, and she can practically demand it all she wants. More than likely the studio will cave into her demands, and allow her to do what she wishes. If the proceeds from this current film continue along anything like it’s opening week, there should be tons of money in a sequel.
