Welcome to the newest edition of The Why. “Why is illegal immigration an issue?” Good question. (OK, it’s political but it beats answering those questions about your more personal peccadilloes. We thought “Dirty Sanchez” was just an unflattering slur towards a specific illegal alien, mmmkay?)
So why is illegal immigration an issue? (Where do you live? Alaska?)
Illegal aliens have a negative impact on the country.
Once someone enters a country illegally they too are criminals. So, even “the nice ones” you want to cook, clean and care for your kids and yards are criminals. Now which part of “illegal” do y’all not understand?
Don’t believe it? You could ask Lou Dobbs. When he broached the subject on CNN he reportedly lost his job.
Here are some statistics on the illegal alien problem in just one state—California—and in some cases just one county in California as confirmed by a source at the Los Angeles Times.
Again, please note, this is only California and not the rest of the country as well.
40 percent all workers in Los Angeles County (L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.
95 percent of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
75 percent of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal aliens (from Mexico). Thanks to their ability to get Medi-Cal, the births were paid for by taxpayers.
Nearly 35 percent all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
More than 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages. (By the way, here in California, even people who live in trailers and manufactured homes must pay property tax.)
The FBI reports 50 percent of all gang members in Los Angeles are probably illegal aliens.
Almost 60 percent all occupants of HUD properties are illegal aliens.
21 radio stations in Los Angeles are Spanish speaking. (This is due in part to the number of Spanish-speakers in the area. How many Spanish-speaking radio stations do you have?)
In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish. (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County.)
Again, these facts have been confirmed and published in the Los Angeles Times.
Another anonymous source adds a few more concerns regarding illegal immigration:
29 percent of illegal aliens are on welfare.
ore than 70 percent of the country’s population growth –and approximately 90 percent of California, New York and Florida—are due to illegal immigration.
29 percent of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.
Why is illegal immigration an issue? Now you know.
