How The Secret Service Protects The President

There are over 6,000 special agents of the U.S. Secret Service who protect the White House 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The president is well-protected because the Secret Service has various security systems in place to secure the leader of the free world and other government officials.

These tools include food-scanners, radars on rooftops, strategically placed surveillance cameras, security checkpoints, metal detectors, listening devices, K9 dog units, and others. To become a special agent requires vigorous training. Thus, only the best make it and are trusted to protect the U.S. president. Check out this infographic to learn more about the Secret Service.
