The odds of finding an Orange Lobster are 1 in 10 million. So when the manager of a Massachusetts seafood restaurant discovered 6 rare orange Lobsters in a shipment he thought someone had to have been playing a joke on him.
Most Lobster are a dark Reddish Brown color when discovered in the wild, turning a bright reddish orange after having been cooked. To find these orange lobsters is quite the phenomena.
According to the Boston Globe, The owner of Fresh Catch Bill Sarro said “When he pulled them out, he said, ‘Oh my God, boss, look, they put the cooked lobsters in with the live lobsters.”
Mr. Sarro went on to say that customers have been coming to his restaurant to check out these rare shell fish. “Customers come in and they all ask about them, so I bring them over to the back and let them take a look,” he said. “They’re not for sale, though. We’re going to keep them here in the tank and let people come and see them to enjoy the naturalness of them.”
Recently in Nova Scotia Fisherman caught a very rare Blue lobster that must also be seen.
