Teen’s who were allegedly playing a game called “pick ‘em out and knock ‘em out” murdered an innocent man in Chicago. The man was father of 12, 62 year old Delfino Mora.
Mora was picking aluminum cans out of the trash bin when the teens shot the video of them punching him to the ground.
When Mora hit the ground he cracked his skull against the concrete, which eventually lead to his death.
Nicholas Ayala, 17, and Anthony Malcolm, 18, and Malik Jones, 16, were the teens accused of selecting innocent bystanders to assault. Jones can be heard on the video saying ”I think I’m going to knock this guy out.”
The three teens left the alleyway laughing, leaving the bleeding Mora on the ground, prosecutor’s spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said. Jones and Ayala returned a few minutes later to take $60 from his wallet, she said.
According to WGNTV Mr. Mora died in St. Francis Hospital the next day from cranial-cerebral injury, blunt head trauma and asthma, according to the Cook County medical examiner.
Jones posted the attack on Facebook, it was discovered, and eventually shown to a member of Mora’s family.
“I want revenge, but my mom told us not to do anything,” Emmanuel Mora, 20, told CNN affiliate WGN. “God would take care of him and he’s going to pay twice.”
The teens are charged with First Degree Murder, and will appear again in court in August.
