The San Francisco 49ers have traded Quarterback Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a second round pick (34th pick) in April’s draft and No. 34 overall – and a conditional third-round pick in 2014, according to the San Jose Mercury News’ Tim Kawakami. The third-round pick would become a second-rounder if the Chiefs win a certain number of games in 2013.
