Kid Rock, 41 has never been shy about being a proud American. Now the Detroit born rocker has taken his patriotism one step further by handing over the keys to a mortgage-free 2,600-square-foot property.
The family on the receiving end of the home is Sgt. Davin Dumar, and his wife Dana.
When Sgt. Dumar and his wife walked into the home Kid Rock said “First of all, welcome home,” later adding “You are going to receive a fully-furnished home, top to bottom. Thank you for your service.”
According to the Oakland Press Dumar, lost one of his legs to amputation after being injured in a 2011 attack in Afghanistan.
Kid Rock partnered with the nonprofit Operation Family Home to build the home. Operation Family Home has currently built around 50 homes in 11 states over the last 7 years for disabled vets.
