When the Science exhibit “Bodies the Exhibition” went on display showcasing 15 human corpses with their skin peeled off, people from all walks of life across America were amazed at the site.

Little did the American consumer paying to see the exhibit first hand realize, those bodies were a part of a more elaborate human tragedy. The bodies that were being displayed were that of potentially executed Chinese prisoners of the religious opposition to the Chinese government. 

The controversial exhibition which was organized by US-based Premier Exhibitions, insisted that all of the corpses on display came from individuals who chose to donate their bodies to medical science. However In 2004 the German magazine Der Spiegel reported that At least two corpses of the more than 600 stored at von Hagens’ center in China had bullet holes in their skulls consistent with executions performed in Chinese prisons.

Borys Wrzesnewskyj, MP author of Bill C-381 spoke on the ethnic cleansing of the Falun Gong in 2009 at a Press Conference in Ottawa Canada. He addressed the human trafficking as well as transplantation of human organs and body parts highlighting the book “Bloody Harvest: The killing of Falun Gong for their organs”.

The “Body Worlds” and “Bodies: The Exhibition” has already been banned or faced restrictions in several cities across America because of the controversial usage of these plastinated bodies. How much longer before cities ask for proof that these bodies are from willing participants? 

In an article written by Seven Days Vermonts Independent voice highlighting an exhibit with the corpses the exhibits spokeswoman said this about the bodies: “The whole thing of, ‘Well, you don’t know who these people are. You don’t know what they did.’ That’s true. We can’t know. There’s a privacy wall. Donors are assured privacy, families are assured privacy. That’s true here as in China,” says ECHO Exhibit spokeswoman Gerianne Smart.

The Executive director of the same exhibit Phelan Fretz said this about the corpses: “It’s really about having confidence in a foundation which included many medical schools and other health organizations in China.”

How much longer can these bodies that have no concrete proof, or sufficient evidence that the plasinated bodies used are being used with consent of the donor be shown across America? Especially when there is proof that the Chinese government is conducting an ethnic cleansing of certain religious groups in China and Tibet such as the Falun Gong?

No matter how amazing the contribution is to Science there should be no excuse to support such a tyrannical regime like the current Chinese government. Continuing to display these corpses would be on the same level as supporting a Science project done by the Nazi Party of Germany, wouldn’t you agree?

Human body parts are being sold across the world and it must be stopped.
